Twilight is settling upon the lowe City as Danielle walks toward the benches near the fountain carry two large mostly empty buckets. They might be considered totally empty were not the insides stained a bright red color. Has there been an acident. The hospital doesn't seem busier than usual and danielle herself seems calm enough as she sets the pails down and sinks upon the bench. She does seem tired though, perhaps a little winded.

Dirk walks over. "Hey Cutie." to Danielle. "need any help?"

Amy comes from the hospital, but she's not blood spattered or anything. And she's singing some song about a girl and a puppy. or something.

Danielle smiles to Dirk "I think i've done enough for now. I took your advice about putting dye in the water and poured beet juice in the pools by the pump. Now we have to wait and see where the red water comes out

"Oh boy," Amy says with a laugh, catching Danielle's words as she arrives. "That sounds like it could be fun. I guess some should come here, right?"

Dirk nods '"cool beans. wonder where it is?"

Gavin had been doing Gavin things like avoiding Math. So he'd shown up he was looing around, "No Math tonight? Right?"

Dirk laughs "No clue."

"Probably not. Filomena's not here," is Amy's reply.

Danielle nods "eventually I suppose it should?" Some of the market stalls appear to have closed for the evening, but there seems to be a bit of commotion and a sudden influx of people odd for this time of night. Raised voices give way to shreik and shouting as some people seem to be going in the opposite direction "Blood in the harbor" The news seems to seems to spread as wildfire through the crowd. Danielle frowns.

Gavin looks at Danie and the others as there's comments of 'blood in the harbor.' Then he starts to frown, "Did somebody put dye in the water?"

Dirk nods "yep to see where the water from the pump house ended."

"Right, that's what we decided to do, after all," Amy says. "But - the harbour? I wasn't expecting that."

"Did you guys warn anyone? This seems like this could be problmeatic." Gavin says as he looks around. " I mean if they think it's somebody elses's mischief and it's blood.

Dirk yells "It's beet juice people!"

Amy shrugs a bit. "Probably not - guess we can tell them now?" she offers.

Gavin nods, "They're going to think it's a miricle."

Danielle hms and shrugs at Gavin "didn't put out a bulletin but Marth and others at the inn who saw me squeezing beets all day know about it. "No need to panic. Just testing the water" she calls out echoing dirk. Though the cries are heard by some they don't carry far. And those that hear a give a mix of disbelieving look or outright anger directed at dani as the general rush to the harbor continues. Some carry torches. Others. weapons

Dirk says, "Are we going to follow?"

Amy looks at the folks with torches and weapons, and blinks. "What are they going to do, burn the water?" she asks, flabbergasted. "I mean, maybe it would roast the beet juice?"

Dirk says, "Or kill the monster?"

"The Monster is us, this time Dirk. But lets not broadcast that." The Knight shrugs, "So there's no telling. They just may have their dander up."

That stops Amy cold for a moment. "What if there's a monster in the harbour that likes beets?" she asks. "Maybe we should go make sure those folks don't need a rescue?"

Danielle nods and runs in the direction of the harbor. "I don't know. I don't imagine it's a positive development. Sur enough Gavin's powers of perception prove accurate as some call out to suggest. "It's a warning to false phrophets and disbelievers." They look at their respective neighbors as if they may just be such a person. tension is mounting

Dirk walks along quietly.

Amy moves to follow along, thoughtfully. She's a healer not a diplomat. "Where are our smooth talking folks when we need them?" she grumbles softly.

Gavin frowns as he hears the crowd. He moves to flank Amethyst. He shrugs, "I dunno. I ussually scare people off their activities."

Danielle begins to explain "Look it's just die. Nothinh is going to... " Until someone else shouts "Look!" as something resemling a huge iguana starts to rise from the water

Dirk heads towards to the iguana with his sword drawn.

Lizard! oh no! There's a moment of disbelief as Amy stares. "Oh for - " she starts and then she stops. Literally where she is, somewhat away from the incoming lizard. "Hey lizard breath," she calls. No she's not talking to the people. "You don't like beets!" Well, she can try.

Dirk runs to jump on the iguana and stabs his sword deep into the iguanas skull.

Gavin looks at Amy and frowns, "You remember how Fili was altering things like she was shifting a shadow? We may have just done the same thing." He draws his sword and then goes charging on Dirks heels to attack the giant lizard.

The lizard reels as both gavin and dirk strie home but seeing double doesn't stop it from making lunch of two sailors or it's claws from lashing out and putting a gash in gavin's left leg

Blood trails down Gavin's left leg. He lashes out with his blade missing. "Dirk, you may be on your own with this one."

Dirk nods "Get back to Amy." He keeps stabbing the lizard in the head.

Amy very cleverly stayed out of danger. As she spies Gavin there getting injured, she frowns. That spot of purple on her forearm shows up again, as she stares at that lizard. "Gavin!" she screams and she starts forward to - well, she's thinking to help somehow!

The lizard can only take so much being knocked about but it's a stubborn critter with a hard head. one more hit should do it though

Dirk pokes away at the critters brain pan.

Gavin bleeding and Amy shouting. The knight does what Dirk suggests and falls back to keep from bleeing on everything. Also to keep Amy out of trouble.

The beast takes two lumbering steps out to sea and collapses dead into the water. it's blood mixing with the beet juice as the villagers continue to seek safety

Dirk jumps off and heads for shore.

Amy promptly moves to Gavin's side, looking at the injury and working immediately to bandage up the wound. "Are you okay?" she asks.

Dirk looks to the crowd. "HI, I am Dirk. if you need monsters killed ask for me."

Danielle sighs "I'm considering taking a vow of silence. i'm sure I wouldn't last though"

The villagers nod their thanks in Dirk's direction

Gavin was letting Amy bandage up the gash in his leg. "I'm sure I will be fine in a couple of days. You're always so skillful at healing me." He looked a bit tired and winded from the fight.

Dirk smiles. "You're too cute to be quiet Danni."

That purple splotch on Amy's arm is still there, visible. She laughs at Dirk and Danielle's commentary and shrugs. "Maybe we need to talk more?"

Amy finishes bandaging Gavin's leg.
