Thus far amy and her staff have done a good job of keeping patients stable. No one has died. In fact, some patients w improve for a short time under treatment, only to have fevers return. The biggest problem is that patients keep coming and beds will soon run out. The group stands uncertainly at the edge of the foredt debating whether to follow the somewhat questionable lead provided by the old woman om the "magical" flower that might provide a cure

"We have to do something," Amy says. "I mean, it's either this magical flower, or see if the spider webs can deal with it." Because Amy is starting to push her wits ends. "Shall we look and see if we can find this flower? Uhm, does anyone remember what it looks like?" She's wearing sturdy clothing that has no spider webs on it. At least at this point.

Danielle offeres "She said it was a white bulb closed in on itself that we needed to get to open somehow"

Kyrie has made herself useful here and there. At the moment, as an escort to the others. Not having been there for the old woman, she listens for the description of what they need, and nods to the others.

Danielle adds "We might as well try."

Amy nods her head, looking to Danielle. "Right, I am glad you remembered that. We should go look for it then?" A glance over at Kyrie and then she says, "Also, you really don't want to know what's under the hospital." A pause. "After we find the flower, ask me." She turns to look around. "It should be over in the forest, right? Or at least at the edge of it?"

Kyrie's eyebrows rise. "Under the hospital?" she echoes. "Why would you put a hospital on top of something you don't want to talk about?" She runs that through her mind briefly, but really, everything here is weird. She nods, then says "Lead on. I'm pretty good with forests."

Danielle nods "that's what she said. I'm not sure how far in we'll have to go. Who wants to take lead." there is a very small patg leading through the trees and no white flower is immediately evident so danielle takes a few hesitant steps along it but seems more than happy to relinquish lead position should someone else volunteer

"Then you go first, Kyrie? And I'll follow." Hey, It's not like Amy is any good in combat or anything. "C'mon, we have to do something. There are already too many patients, and more keep coming."

Kyrie smiles to the pair, and moves to the front. Her hand comes to rest on the hilt of her sword, of course. "Come on, then. Let's find this flower." she says, and heads in.

The path is pleasant and clear enough for a bit but after awhile the tree cover thickens and the path narrows. the moon above only dimly visible for the cover

Amy walks along the path, as it narrows. There's fog out there still, and she knows it. "We didn't put the hospital there - it's where it was. But I don't know if the horror was always there. or Not." Amy puts in. She looks up at the moon and then says, "And where's Kynan with his fire staff when we need a light?"

Danielle stops dead frozen stalk still

Kyrie mmms quietly. "The Horror under the Hospital. I think I read that book. Sad ending." she says as they walk. If there's dark things afoot in their vicinity, she seems to be missing them." When Danielle stops though, she turns.

Amy pauses as well, her gaze going in a certain direction. "I heard something," she says. "The leaves - and there's something red glinting right there. Are those eyes?"

Three large wolves emerge from the tree, looking as if they've been disturbed and are not pleased by the fact, causing danielle to mutter a curse and look around for a stick or something similar to ward off attack

Wolves? Amy's eyes widen. "and I don't even have a stick," she says. She backs up, a bit. Backs up, and then trips over a stick, falling backwards onto her butt. "Owch!"

Danielle takes up a stick and makes a striking motion throug the air . Despite her not being close enough to strike it. The lead wolf does in fact react as if struck and falls back. The other charge but the trio of woman are able to avoid contact though the can hear the two wolves behand them

Kyrie fortunately has more than a stick, and she seems pretty familiar with the use of her rapier. "You two really need proper weapons. That aren't sticks." Her eyes try to stay on as many wolves as possible.

Amy is on her rump, having fallen. She shrugs a bit, scrambling to her knees. "Hey, I found a stick," she says, looking on the bright side. She has a stick now, as she gets the rest of the way back up. They're in the forest, looking for specific flowers. And instead finding wolves.

The woman have gone in the forest in search of the flower with potential healing propeties. You can hear them in the distance. you also here growling and spot two large wolves on the path

The sound of women and wolves together was not something Gavin really wanted to hear but hear it he did. The Knight comes charging down the path towards the scene his sword bared as he launches into a savage attack against one of the foul beasts. "Everyone alright?" He calls out.

The first wolf lunges at gavin but falls quickly falls dead struck by the knight's powerful blow

"Gavin!" Amy calls out. She smiles as she sees him, sword in hand. As a wolf heads her way, she swings her stick it's direction, mostly just wanting it to go away. "We're trying to help all the sick people, and so far I think we're all okay. Except my pride."

Amy's wing connects with and stuns the one remaing wolf as Danielle calls out "mind going for two sir gavin

As the first wolf dies to Gavin's blade. The knight turns as Amethyst calls out to him. "Wounded pride recovers quicker than your body." He says quickly moving to dispatch the other wolf with his sword. It was still stunned from Amy's stick. "Perhaps I should teach you how to fight."

By some miracle Mortimer is snapped out of his daze from flirting with the old woman. Rather proud of himself for where the conversation was heading, smile upon his face, he goes to brush his hair out of his eyes with a small push of hand and then Gavin is bouncing past him with his sword drawn?! Turning to see what he managed to miss this time... And a dead wolf, and other weapons out. Clapping lightly, "Gavin, our hero. You really are quite good with that, sword."

The second wolf also falls bleeding to the forest floor along with it's companion so that mortimer comes upon two dead wolf carcases, aman with a bloody sword, kyrie with her rapier, and amy and danielle weilding a sticks. but wait the third wolf that ran off earlier is back to avenge of his fellows

Amy backs up, holding the stick at the ready. "I - well, I suppose it might be an okay idea, though I prefer to heal," she says, honestly. But there's a realization that she might not be able to stick to that. "Mortimer, watch out. There's another wolf!"

Gavin twist around, "Mortimer, look out!" Gavin wasn't that fast to clear the space between himself and the other man. "Don't hurt the Gin!" Any response to Amy will have to wait till after another of his friends is out of danger.

Danielle spins with a gasp at martimerers approach

Mortimer looks to Amy first, then Gavin, danger is being called out. Though that is what you do, right? Look at the one that called your name? Thus, as he turns back towards the direction pointed out the whole world along with time simply slows down, or this is what he'll say what happened when asked about it later... A reactionary of not worrying about what could happen and simply following what his body knows to be true. His hands leave their little clap, his smile slowly washes away from curled lips, then that hair bobs just the tiniest amount. A new smile curls over his lips as time comes back to focus and he snaps his fingers at the wolf.

While Kyrie does know how to use a blade, she wouldn't call herself great with it. So, when others appear who might be able to use one better, she opts to focus on defense. Trying to keep the wolves from others, instead.

With the third wolf hopefully down, Amy moves closer to the others. "Is everyone okay?" she asks.

The remaining wolf is aiirborne striking a tree. The horrid snap of its back and the fall of his body to the ground result in dead wolf number three. And all is still

Amy looks over everyone, cautiously, hoping they're okay.

Gavin lowers his sword, "I"m fine." He starts cleaning the blood off his blade. "I mean I didn't kill anything as glorious as Mort did. I just did physical way." He shrugs to Amethyst, "If you want to heal, heal. I just worry about you when I'm not around."

Danielle nods "i'm good" she takes a deep breath scanning the area for more trouble

Mortimer runs his hand back through his hair and looks back to the group. "Everyone alright then?" This new smile, its no longer the questioning what will happen this time. He's rather proud of the outcome, though the smile starts to wash away as everyone chimes in. Nodding with what Gavin has proclaimed, then looking around at the wolves. "I'm... I'm sorry for not paying attention sooner."

Kyrie seems to be fine, and nods to the others that the excitement of the moment has ended. "Hopefully any others are some ways away. And while I don't love wolf meat, it's not the worst out there."

"Good, that's good. I'm glad we're all good, not hurt. I guess now we keep looking for that flower. or many of them. whichever." A pause and then she says, "Gavin, it's not that I object, just usually everyone wants me to not be hurt so I can heal."

Something white gleams in the distance The flower for which they are searching but it's shut tight. was that there before

Danielle hms and begins to walk very slow in the direction she spies

Gavin points towards the flower, "Is it that flower?" He though doesn't seem that determine to rush up to the flower. Letting the others who understand plants draw closer.

Mortimer spots Danielle heading off, and catches up, just behind her. "Do you see something Danielle?"

Danielle nods "Look. she says pointing at the flower "Now What?" she wonders aloud

Amy stops to stare at the flower, her eyes going distant for a moment. "I think we need the nectar out of it, so we do need it to open. Maybe we don't need to pick it, but just get the nectar? And then we need to distill it in water, and heat it to make it a tea, I think."

Mortimer takes a step back from the flower holding his head, "Um..." Catching his breath, "That was...different. I think we need to hold hands. Around the flower." He holds out his hands to Amy and Danielle, "like this. Come take may hands."

Kyrie returns to being an escort, not that she was a great one when they first set out into the forest. She listens and watches, and tries to keep a better eyes out than she did.

Danielle nods and grasps mortimer's hand softly holding the other out to kyrie

Holding hands? Doesn't look like it's usually her thing, but Kyrie will be a joiner for this venture. She takes Danielle's hand, and whomever else's helps form the circle.

Amy sort of blinks, giving Mortimer a glance. "Hold - Uhm, alright," she says. She's seen stranger things. She definitely moves to hold hands, whichever are open, closing the circle around the flower. "now what?"

Asoft glow surrounds the compatriots in the circle. They can feel energy flowing through them as the bloom opens
