Amy comes out of the hospital looking a bit weary. At least she thinks there are no spiders on her, though they do seem to be quite everywhere in the hospital. There might be a big table in front of the basement door now, just in case. She pauses to look over at the fountain, and wrinkles her nose. "We have to do something."

\

Gavin was waiting for Amy at the fountain. He'd off been doing Gavin things. As she declares they have to do something, "Yes we do! What do you want to do?"

Mortimer looks to be a little disheveled, his frock coat has seen better days and there's some conversation that he's having with himself about where to find fabric to make a new coat, let alone is sewing something he knows how to do? Or is there a tailor that can fix this one. Hearing Gavin shout about doing something snaps him out of his small argument with himself and looks over spotting Amy as well. "What would we have this time?" He asks cautiously while crossing his arms to hide the small holes forming in the coat.

Amy grins at Gavin, heading over to stand by him. She turns as Mortimer speaks up. "Hey, Mortimer. We need - well, I guess we need to find food for a half woman, half spider being that is too hungry to talk about why she's manacled to the wall beneath the hospital basement." She says it entirely matter of factly, that it might take a minute to sink in. "I was thinking goats, maybe?"

"I guess goat would be as fine of a meal as anything else." Gavin says as he nods to Mortimer. "I'm assuming we're going goat hunting." He shrugs, "How does one hunt goat? Do we have a herd nearby to raid?"

Mortimer keeps his arms crossed and simply looks between Amy and Gavin. "Could we go ask the Unicorn folk? Have them cook more up and then the angry one can charge us again? Just... lead it into the hospital?"

"I'm not sure cooked is the way to go for this," Amy admits. She is a bit uneasy about this, truthfully. "Look, we found her there, well, I did, and she can at least say 'hungry' so I think she can talk. This leads me to want to know why she's there. is she a monster or is she a being who needs to be freed? We don't know the answers, but I was thinking that maybe if she gets some food, she might be able to speak. She - was so gaunt, she was pretty much a skeleton. And I think that's why there are those big spiders down there, the bitey ones." A pause and then, "Mortimer, are you okay?" She looks to Gavin, and says, "I don't know. I was thinking we could go through the Fog and see if we could find goats?"

Gavin chuckles, "Sure why not. I mean it's produced jinn, swords, monsters, and takes us to different points. Perhaps the Fog will push back and reveal some goats?" He shrugs, "Probably not wise to feed her Unicorn followers."

Mortimer waves his hands about in a failed expression, slightly hyper. "Sure! Let's go play in the fog. Last time gave me some good gin out of it." Looking to Amy, "I'm just peachy. If having holes in my coat is a new normal I need to get used to."

Amy looks at Mortimer a little more closely, and then she says, "At least you didn't have to get Martha to find you new clothes while trying to unspider web the ones you were wearing when you went into the basement?" There's a bright smile as she knows she probably shouldn't have done that, all on her own. But. Well, who was going to stop her?

"It's not hard to get into the fog," Amy adds, wryly. "It's harder to get out. It is however a little more difficult to find some."

\

Gavin grins, "Hey giving free booze might be the nicest thing it's ever done." Gavin looks to the fog. He wrinkles his nose. "You should realize by now, Amy and I aren't exactly the level head onese."

"Oh. Level headed is not always what it's cracked up to be. Though thank you for the warning." Mortimer smirks to Gavin. Turning to Amy, "Good point. I'll simply readjust my perspective upon the situation." He pats at the coat with a faint smile, "Good ventilation!"

Amy laughs. "That's the spirit. Though you never know, the Fog has been known to be quirky." She looks at the nearest bit of fog - well, see, it's just at the edges now, not in the middle of town. So they have to walk. "We should hold on to each other, because it's hard to see in the fog," she warns.

"You could always hire a seamestress to patch the pocket?" Gavin asks a bit confused as he does like nice clothes but they are not a requirement to his survival. As they draw closer to the fog, he offers his hand to Amethyst to take, "One more time for... goats."

Mortimer smirks, "I could. I... It doesn't matter right now." He waves away the thought, reaching out to take Amy's hand to follow them into the fog.

With Gavin on one side, holding her hand, and Mortimer on the other, also holding her hand, Amy steps into the Fog. It gets dark of course, the fog swirling and whirling. It's hard to see much of anything. The sight and sound of the city behind them vanishes, and before long it's hard to say what direction that city is in.

Amy's hands keep hold tightly to her two companions, not quite a death grip, but she's not letting go. "I was just going to say I hate this, but I think I hate the spider webs more," she mutters.

Gavin shakes his head. "Too late. I guess if there was another way to find a herd of goats. It's this now." He looks around for a moment staring into the dark and thinking goat thoughts. "I guess think about goats?"

Mortimer has his eyes closed, muttering lowly about goats and gin. He opens his eyes and spins his head a little towards where he hears Gavin to be in the darkness. "Goats... Right. Not Gin."

"I wouldn't say no to gin," Amy says, "But really we want something nasty and unintelligent to feed to a giant spider. So you know, nothing cute or cuddly or - intelligent, right? Stupid, headbutty goats - though that might be a challenge to bring back." She keeps walking forward, not happy to stay still.

"Damn it, now I'm thinking about gin." Gavin says and then looks around. "Can goats be cute?" Gavin wonders.

Mortimer continues along, following, holding Amy's hand a little tighter as they go further into the fog. "Goats can be a challenge at times. Maybe a sheep? Or how about a cow? Ooooh. And a shepperd dog!" Mortimer might be rambling now due to not wanting to get lost in the fog.

"I don't know - maybe a cow, sheep and a goat?" Amy asks. "That sounds like it might work?" She takes a breath, and then she says, "Did you hear that?" There's a hesitation in her step, as she pauses. IN the distance, a roar can be heard. There are always things in the fog, it seems. "Okay, we're going to concentrate really hard on livestock, and we're going to keep walking forward," she says a little tightly. "cows, sheep, goats - we need to find them. Hey, if we can bring back extra, that might be a good thing for the city, right?" She starts to push her will out there, concentrating hard, willing the fog to let her out, and to let her out in a helpful place.

"What ever that is. It's not a cow, a sheep, or a goat." Gavin free hand rest on his sword. He had made sure to take Amy's hand with his left hand. "And non of it corrupted. It's all one big mystery."

Mortimer nearly stops, then trips forwards as Amy keeps moving. "Um... Would they have all been combined?"

"don't give it ideas!" Amy says, her breath catching. "But no, we want to get out of the fog to find what we're looking for. There are - things in the fog regularly. I don't know what it is, it's probably not friendly. We need to keep moving so it doesn't find us, whatever it is. Concentrate." Ahead, there seems to be a lighter grey colour.

l Gavin continues to walk, "Yeah it seems to have a sense of humor and gets ideas. I'm hoping it also likes Gin or scotch. I love schotch." He tries to look towards Mortimer as he knows where Amys at but feels the sudden drag.

Mortimer nods in the direction that he believes is Gavin, then stops, none of us can see... "Yes, sorry. Won't be giving it ideas, though... gin would be nice as a reward AFTER," He yells at the fog to make clear of when the gin should show up. "And not mixed with animal. Nor in some weird arrangement..." He's rambling again. "Um. Are we there yet?"

Walking through the fog, they are. "Concentrate," Amy says, squeezing Mortimer's hand. "We have to concentrate, or we'll never get out!" She squeezes Gavin's hand as well, providing that reminder. She might be starting to be a bit of an expert on getting through the fog. "Concentrate hard, the fog is lighter this way. Work for it." There is a strain in her voice, and those holding her hands can feel that she's shaking a little bit with the effort she's putting in.

Danielle hms "Why do you want to feed it a dog and a shepherd dog specifically. Are we giving it a sense of community with its meal. We should focus on getting ing out first I think

"Mort! Concentrate. We tink of the sheep we're going to find once we get out of the fog!" Then he calls out to Danielle. "We've got this! don't loose faith, remain strong." He continues to step forward as if he drove back a river with each step.

Mortimer tries to determine where Danielle is and then simply replies, "The dog would be for guiding the other animals." Mortimer shakes his head again, "Yes. Concentrating. Gi... Sheep. Animals. Goat. Sheep..."

With the group's concentration increasing, as they step forward, the fog slowly thins, until at last they step out into a rolling field. It's warm, sunny, and looks like farmland, only it's overgrown. There's a bar off in the distance.

barN. not bar.

Amy takes a look around, and then finds a rock to go sit down on. "I think I need a minute to - recover," she murmurs.

Gavin looks around for a moment, "I think the filds have went fallow and the barn roof has collapsed. I don't think it's a working farm. Any best we find here probably will be feral. It gave us what we wanted."

"AHA! We're out of it..." Mortimer looks around. "Hey... what's that over there then?" Though his shoulder slump a little as he hears Gavin. "Feral farm animals? Is that a goat that hasn't had it's horns sheared for...ever?"

Danielle blinks "Well someone needs to start chopping. This grass is a bit of a jung....mess... she corrects herself

Amy shakes her head, bemused. "I guess we fan out, and look around," she says, as she stands up. "At leat the grass isn't as tall as I am," she murmurs. "That's something." She starts to look around, stepping forward, and then she vaults up, with a yelp. "hey, there's something in here!"

"Baaaahhhhhhh"

\

At the sound of the goat getting Amethyst and giving it's battle cry. Gavin wheels around and goes chasing after it. "Get back here! I want to be your friend!"

Mortimer watches Gavin chase after the feral... goat? Then turns to Amy and Danielle, "Is there a means that we can actually catch that?"

Amy shrugs. "I don't know how to catch them," she admits. "I guess we will have to be creative?"

\

Gavin goes running after the goat then stretches out as if he goes to tackle the beast but it jukes leaving Gavin laid out in the grass. "Damn it."

Amy thinks about it. "What do goats eat?" she asks, surreptitiously rubbing her hip. She might have gotten headbutted. "Do you think maybe there's anything in the barn that might help?"

Mortimer looks around, "I'm going to go take a look in the barn. Maybe... there's something there to work with? Feed it? A net could work out."

Gavin calls out, "Look for a feed bucket. My horse always got excited when it saw the feed bucket. Perhaps Goats are the same!" Gaavin says as he pops up inbetween some high blades of grass.

Amy smiles. "That's a good idea," she says with a nod. Then she yips as the outside goat comes back and headbutts her again. "Cut that out!" she says, as she staggers forward.

Mortimer nods back to Gavin. "Feed bucket. Got it." And continues with poking his head into the barn, slowly, then disappearing into the darkness. A couple of smashes and something crashing down, and then Mortimer is running out of the barn. "I... Um... I found..." Out of breath and still running, a bucket is in his hand swinging wildly, feed spraying about. As four goats are charging behind him.

\

Gavin goes racing over to take the feed bucket from Mortimer. Then with that he goes racing away, "Alright we got some goats, what do we do with them now?" He calls out, "And a plan minght be a good idea before I tired out and have to relay these to somebody else." Somebody else was Amethyst.

Amy thinks for a moment. "Tie them together? And then we can bring them with us, right?" Back through the fog. Tying them together might take some doing, but there's rope to be found, and five goats, they can bring along with them. After a bit of work. It's still actually easier than travelling through fog. But they manage to get the goats back through with them, and get them settled securely just outside the hospital.
