There has been an addition to +attempt, as well as a few changes. A new /switch has been added, named /flub. This is a way to automatically fail the +attempt, but otherwise all the output to other players about the difficulty, talents, etc. will be indistinguishable from a normal +attempt. We think you should be able to now see your talents and gifts if you login on the web page. Please login using the same credentials you use to login to the game. Reminder: Flashbacks exist, and you can update them from both in-game and on the webpage.

Code Update: Your Own Home

If you would like a player home on the grid, you can now build one in the residential cul-de-sac room in the switchback. However, we do recommend maybe some sort of plot or scene to ensure your new house is empty of fog, ghosts or any other sort of troublesome thing. See 'help buildroom' when you are ready and let us know if you can't build your own. Note - this will only work in this one room!

Code Update: Journals

Hi all. Another feature from Arx that we are opening up to players is now live. help journals for details. White journals are public, black journals are private. Note - staff can see them all, but we're not policing your journals. Code Update: Dice Code

For random numbers that are not in character +attempts, we now have +dice, aka +roll. You can also use +coin and +chance for 50:50 chances. All of these take switches that allow you to keep entirely secret, announce to the room that you are rolling, or announce that you have rolled and show the result. See '+help dice' for syntax, or just type '+dice' for one-line usage instructions.

Game Update: Open for Beta Testing

Shards of Amber is now open for Beta Testing! We have chargen up and running, mostly. our grid is up, and we have a bunch of new systems from alpha. We are working on an ARX code base, for those who are familiar with it, but not all the systems are working yet. Still, we have made a lot of progress! Come join us and help out!
